Olé Mexican Foods owners, Veronica and Eduardo Moreno, were recently inducted into the Tortilla Industry Association’s (TIA) Hall of Fame.  The presentation was made during the 2018 TIA Annual Convention & Trade Expo, held at JW Marriott in Desert Springs, CA on June 1st & 2nd.

Members of the TIA Hall of Fame have demonstrated a level of cooperation and leadership within the tortilla industry.  Honorees are recognized by their industry partners and often have grown large successful companies from humble origins and family collaboration.  These companies have also made substantial contributions to the tortilla industry through their research and innovations—helping the industry as a whole grow and succeed.

The Tortilla Industry Association was created in 1989 to serve the emerging tortilla industry, now the fastest growing segment of the baking industry.  In the U.S., annual sales of tortillas exceed all other ethnic and specialty bread sales, including bagels, croissants, muffins, and pita bread.  Based in Arlington, VA, TIA is a not-for-profit organization whose members include tortilla manufacturers, industry suppliers and distributors, and companies with interests in the rapidly growing tortilla market.

Olé Mexican Foods founder, Veronica Moreno, stated, “We are very proud to have been recognized by the Tortilla Industry Association in this way.  It is always exciting to be recognized by your peers for the hard work we do to grow and improve our industry.  As we look over the names and companies that have received this honor in the past, we are reminded of how far Olé Mexican Foods has come in such a short time.”

Olé Mexican Foods has a long history of carefully balancing traditional ingredients and processes for making their famous tortillas while also implementing innovative new products and efficiencies to insure their loyal customers get exactly what they want and need.  From their classic White Corn and Flour Tortillas to their Xtreme line of healthy option wraps, Olé Mexican Foods has been a major influence on the success and growth of the tortilla industry.
