Restaurant operators and observers are anxiously searching for clues into the steady decline recently in same-store sales and traffic.
Despite positive overall economic news, July results show a continued downward slide that began after a strong start in 2015. Restaurant same-store sales declined 1.4 percent in July, and traffic fell 3.9 percent, according to TDn2K’s Black Box Intelligence, encompassing nearly 25,000 restaurant units and representing $64 billion in sales
