Fogo de Chao: Hurricanes, ‘industry softness’ hurt 3Q sales and traffic

Hurricanes, tough comparisons due to last year’s Olympics, security issues and “industry softness” all conspired to drive down same-store sales at Fogo de Chao Inc. in the third quarter ended Oct. 1, the company said Tuesday.

The Dallas-based Brazilian steakhouse chain pre-announced earnings on Tuesday, including a 5.1-percent decline in same-store sales, comprising a 17.1-percent decline in Brazil and a 2.1-percent drop in the U.S.
