Waffle House to honor 31,000 customers

NORCROSS Ga. Waffle House said this week it plans to make tens of thousands of its guests feel even more special than they would ordinarily.

To celebrate National Waffle Week Sept. 6-12, each Waffle House unit will honor its Top 20 customers. More than 31,000 customers will be recognized at the more than 1,550 Waffle House restaurants.

Employees at each restaurant will present “Official Regular” lapel pins to their most ardent customers. Regulars also are being invited to share their own Waffle House stories at the chain’s redesigned website, www.wafflehouse.com [3].

“Waffle House restaurants wouldn’t be the phenomenon it is today if it weren’t for our wonderful customers,” Walt Ehmer, president of Waffle House, said. “This is just one of the ways for each restaurant to thank many of its regulars.”

Also to observe National Waffle Week, the chain is introducing a new banana-nut flavor, which features a buttermilk waffle made with banana nougat and pecans.

Waffle House has restaurants in 25 states.
