S&W alumni add to staff of new venture

BOSTON WellDunn Restaurant Group has named Tindaro LoSurdo corporate chef. LoSurdo, who most recently served as executive chef at the Smith & Wollensky steakhouse here, joins two other Smith & Wollensky Restaurant Group veterans - Jim Dunn, the company’s former president and chief operating officer, and Dave Terry, SWRG’s former vice president.

Dunn, the founder and chief executive of WellDunn, plans to open the group's inaugural steak and seafood concept, Prime Blue Grille, in Miami in June. The company projects that it will open more than 15 outlets across the United States.

The concept will specialize in serving organic, natural, corn-fed, 100-percent source verified beef. The restaurant will feature a meat and seafood display, raw bar, retail market and an exhibition-style kitchen with a wood-burning oven and grills.
