Cracker Barrel's comps rise 1.1%

LEBANON, Tenn. CBRL Group Inc. said same-store sales at its Cracker Barrel Old Country Store restaurants and gift shops rose 1.1 percent year-over year for the four-week period ending June 22, lifted by a 2-percent increase in menu prices.

 

The company noted that check averages topped the year-earlier mean by 2.2 percent.

 

 

The uptick in comparable sales compares with a 0.4 percent decline during the same four-week period of 2006, when Cracker Barrel's check average rose 2 percent.

 

 

The company operates 560 Cracker Barrel Old Country Store restaurants and gift shops located in 41 states.
