Cracker Barrel comps up 2.5% in Nov.

LEBANON Tenn. CBRL Group Inc. said Tuesday that same-store restaurant sales at its Cracker Barrel chain increased 2.5 percent for the four weeks ended Nov. 30.

The monthly jump from a year earlier reflected a 3.6-percent hike in the average check, which was boosted by a 3.8-percent average increase to menu prices. Traffic declined about 1.1 percent from a year ago. Same-store retail sales were up 4.4 percent for the month.

CBRL Group operates 570 Cracker Barrel Old Country Store restaurants and gift shops in 41 states.
