Twin Peaks parent restructures leadership

Chain adds marketing, human resources executives

Twin Restaurant Holdings, parent to the 72-unit Twin Peaks restaurant chain, has realigned its senior leadership team and added two new executives, the company said Thursday.

The Addison, Texas-based division of Front Burner Restaurants L.P. named Twin Peaks co-founder Scott Gordon as president for franchise operations and Jim Saunders as vice president of company operations. The company has also hired Beth Collins as chief marketing officer and Stephen Martin as vice president of human resources.

“These changes allow us to raise the levels of support and accountability throughout our organization as we all focus on evolving and growing our brand,” said Starlette Johnson, who was named CEO of Twin Restaurant Holdings in October, in a statement

The company said the restructuring would streamline communications and enhance restaurant support. All four of the positions report to Johnson, who succeeded company founder Randy DeWitt.

Prior to opening the first Twin Peaks in 2005 with DeWitt, Gordon served as president of Tia’s Tex Mex and chief operating officer of La Madeleine French Bakery and Café. He had served as Twin Peaks’ chief financial officer.

The backgrounds of the other three executives include:

  • Saunders joined Twin Peaks in 2014 after four years in operations positions at On the Border Mexican Grill & Cantina.
  • Collins most recently was vice president of marketing for the Lone Star Steakhouse and Texas Land & Cattle Co. brands and had been consulting with Twin Peaks. She will oversee the chain’s marketing and brand development, including consumer research, advertising, digital media and public relations. Previously, Collins was director of brand management for Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers.
  • Martin most recently was vice president of human resources at Houston-based Prime Communications L.P., a 436-unit telecommunications retailer. Previously, he worked with Home Depot, Taco Bell and its parent Yum! Brands Inc.

Twin Peaks has locations in 24 states.
