The 27-year company veteran started at the company as a server

Parks previously served as Director of Information Systems for Nashville-based J. Alexander’s Holdings, which owns and operates a string of upscale casual-dining restaurants under the banners J. Alexander’s, Redlands Grill, Stoney River Steakhouse and Grill and Lyndhurst Grill.

The new position represents a promotion for Parks, who has overseen the company’s IT division since transitioning over from restaurant management in 1996. He started as CIO in February 2018.

CFO Mark A. Parkey told NRN: “Technology is becoming more critical in the successful operation of restaurants, including back of the house systems integrations, cost systems, product mix analysis and menu trend identification. Jason has been, and will increasingly be, a key player in helping us integrate these platforms and capabilities as we conduct such processes.”

Parks launched his career at the company nearly 27 years ago as a server for the first J. Alexander’s restaurant in Nashville. Over the years, he’s worked his way up through the ranks, serving in multiple positions including restaurant management.

He holds a Master of Science in Information Systems from the Raymond J. Harbert College of Business at Auburn University.
