Church’s Chicken names chief concept officer

Steve Davis will step into the new position

Church’s Chicken has named Steve Davis to the newly created position of chief concept officer, the company said Tuesday.

Davis will be responsible for marketing the quick-service brand around the world, including new menu and concept innovations, the company said in a statement.

“Steve will be instrumental in strengthening our domestic and international brand positioning and global strategy,” said Church’s chief executive Jim Hyatt in a statement. “With his strategic foresight working for big brands in both the retail and restaurant industries, Steve is ideally suited to lead and further the brand’s vision and growth.”

Davis was most recently senior marketing consultant for Einstein Noah Restaurant Group, where he helped construct the company’s branding strategy. He has also served as chief marketing officer at Arby’s Restaurant Group and has held positions with Heineken North America and PepsiCo.

In May, Church’s Chicken named Tony Moralejo chief development officer. Moralejo, most recently with Burger King, replaced Pedro Voyer.

Atlanta-based Church’s Chicken has about 1,700 restaurants systemwide.
