Vollrath chief exec Belot resigns; former COO Bartelt takes reins after yearlong transition

SHEBOYGAN Wis. —After 31 years with The Vollrath Co. LLC, president and chief executive Tom Belot resigned at the end of August.

Belot has been succeeded by Paul Bartelt, Vollrath’s former chief operating officer. The company said Belot and Bartelt have been working together over the past year to help ensure a smooth transition. —After 31 years with The Vollrath Co. Belot joined Vollrath as director of management systems in 1978. He also served as the company’s chief financial officer and president of Vollrath refrigeration Inc. He was named president and chief executive of the company in 1989. During his tenure Belot helped grow Vollrath from $90 million in sales annually to more than $200 million. —After 31 years with The Vollrath Co. During Belot’s time with the company, Vollrath introduced thousands of new products, acquired eight companies and expanded markets in Canada, Mexico, The United Kingdom, Western Europe and China. —After 31 years with The Vollrath Co. Belot will continue to be active in community service organizations in Wisconsin such as the Endowment Trust Board of the Sheboygan County YMCA and the Sheboygan County United Way, of which he is president. —After 31 years with The Vollrath Co.
