Kaya Toast

Kaya Toast

Street, Los Angeles

Kaya is a coconut jam from Southeast Asia. Chef and co-owner Susan Feniger spreads it on toast and serves it with an egg cooked to order, dark soy sauce and white pepper. This sweet and savory dish is a hangover brunch food from Singapore, and at $12 has a terrific food cost.
