Panda Express launches Fortunate Cookie marketing campaign

Limited-time cookies will offer messages of gratitude and giving

Panda Express on Wednesday, or National Fortune Cookie Day, launched a new marketing campaign designed to foster thoughtful generosity. Across the chain’s nearly 2,000 restaurants through Aug. 10, the traditional fortune cookies served will be replaced with “Fortunate Cookies” that will feature “FortuNotes” with messages of gratitude and giving. Guests are encouraged to tag friends and family they want to share their fortune with on social media using the hashtag #ShareGoodFortune.

“For our family, good fortune is reflected in the growth of our associates and impact on our community; we are beyond grateful for the opportunity to serve and share our good fortune,” said Peggy Cherng, co-chair and co-CEO of parent company Panda Restaurant Group, based in Rosemead, Calif. “The #ShareGoodFortune movement is meant to inspire guests and associates to take an intentional pause, show appreciation and recognize how even the smallest act of thoughtfulness and generosity can enrich lives and trigger impactful acts of kindness.”
