NEW YORK (Feb. 8, 2010) The James Beard Foundation has selected Mary & Tito’s Café in Albuquerque, N.M., and four other restaurants as this year’s America’s Classics honorees.

The restaurants will be recognized at the annual James Beard Foundation Awards on May 3 at Avery Fisher Hall in New York City.

Among the past honorees are Yank Sing in San Francisco; Totonno’s in Brooklyn, N.Y.; Primanti Brother’s in Pittsburgh; Sam Choy’s Kaloko in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii; The Shed in Santa Fe, N.M.; and Three Brothers Serbian Restaurant in Milwaukee.
