Tommy Lee named CEO of 800 Degrees Pizza

Former Rockfish Seafood Grill chief to oversee operations

Los Angeles-based fast-casual chain 800 Degrees Pizza has named former CEO of Rockfish Seafood Grill in Dallas its new CEO, replacing Steve Overholt, effective immediately.

Lee will work with founder and executive chef Anthony Carron and chief development officer Scott Berkowitz to expand the chain, with responsibility for company operations and employee and guest experience, the company said in a press release.

“Tommy has extensive knowledge in day-to-day restaurant management, and understands the significance of operating efficiency and a guest-centric focus,” Carron said in the release. “I am confident that his business expertise combined with the quality of our product will elevate the brand to a new level.”

Prior to heading up 15-unit Rockfish Seafood Grill, Lee was vice president of operations at Brinker International, parent company of Chili’s Brill & Bar.

There are 15 800 Degrees locations, including six each in Dubai and Los Angeles, one in Las Vegas and one in Tokyo.

The chain’s 2017 plans include entering the Miami market and opening new locations in the Middle East.
