Au Bon Pain rolls out holiday menu

Turkey, spicy stew and cookies reflect the season

Au Bon Pain has introduced a dozen seasonal items for the holidays, all available through Jan. 8, 2018.

The 207-unit bakery-café chain is reflecting Thanksgiving with The Holiday Gobbler, a sandwich made with sliced turkey breast, stuffing, cranberry apple chutney and turkey gravy on toasted white bread for $7.59.

Featuring seasonal chiles is the Roasted Poblano Chicken Stew, made with diced chicken breast, crushed tomatillos, roasted poblano peppers, jalapeños, hominy, tomatoes, celery, onions and carrots simmered in chicken broth. The stew is priced at $3.59 for a small, $4.09 for a medium and $5.29 for a large.

For breakfast, the chain has introduced a French Toast Bagel for $1.29, flavored with cinnamon, maple and brown sugar.

That bagel is used in the new French Toast Omelet Sandwich, featuring an omelet made with parsley, chives, smoked paprika and roasted onions, along with turkey sausage, on a French Toast Bagel with maple cream cheese. The sandwich is priced at $4.59.

Also available for breakfast is the Cranberry Crunch & Honey Parfait, made with non-fat Greek vanilla yogurt, granola, cranberries and cranberry bog honey, priced at $3.99.

The Boston-based chain’s seasonal coffee is a Butter Pecan Latte, made with espresso, butter pecan flavor and frothed milk. Available hot or iced, the coffee is priced at $2.49 for a medium and $2.99 for a large.
