The 115-unit Corner Bakery Cafe has promoted John LaBarge to vice president of franchise business.
LaBarge most recently was director of franchise business. In his new role, LaBarge will work with the vice president of franchise development, Bob Hartmann, as a liaison between franchisees and Corner Bakery’s internal team.
“LaBarge’s many years of multi-unit operating experience and extensive brand depth ensures our franchise partners will receive an unparalleled level of service and support from Corner Bakery Cafe,” said Jim Vinz, Corner Bakery's president and chief operating officer.
LaBarge has also served as an area director for Corner Bakery in Chicago and, prior to that, worked in multi-unit operations with Brinker International Inc., Corner Bakery’s previous owner.
Corner Bakery is owned by CBC Restaurant Corp. of Dallas, an affiliate of Il Fornaio (America) Corp. of Corte Madera, Calif.
