Andy's turns to Web-based HR support

News

MOUNT OLIVE N.C. Andy's Cheesesteaks and Cheeseburgers, based here, is using at its 100-plus restaurants Silver Creek Technologies' Web-based Sysdine PRM, a system for managing hiring, training and employee review-and-improvement programs.

Neal Dennis, chief operating officer for the fast-casual, retro diner chain, said Sysdine has provided his company with an "answer to our questions about people processes." Andy's officials indicated that the chain has created an extensive library of training materials in support of its employee development and leadership programs.

Sysdine works with Web or locally hosted computerized application forms and offers applicant screening and evaluation tools, as well as support for scheduling employee shifts, sources at Johnson City, Tenn.-based Silver Creek said. The software handles scheduling, launching, tracking and administration of Andy's training and testing materials, they added, and aids managers in measuring employee performance through peer reviews and in creating and monitoring employee-improvement plans.
