Scott Tipton, beverage director of Bread & Butter Concepts, based in Kansas City, Mo., won the third annual Shake, Sparkle & Stir competition Sunday with his twist on the classic Long Island iced tea.
Tipton’s Thunder Island cocktail was made with mezcal, vodka, gin, rum, lemon juice, mint, Kinley Tropical Blossom Syrup and Sprite, as well as housemade Coca-Cola bitters.
