Yum names Pant president, global branding

LOUISVILLE Ky. Yum! Brands Inc., parent of the KFC, Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, Long John Silver’s and A&W chains, Tuesday named Micky Pant to the newly created position of president, global branding.

Pant will be responsible for leading and establishing a singular global brand positioning and identity for the company’s portfolio worldwide. He will report directly to chairman and chief executive David C. Novak.

In addition to his new role, Pant will retain his position as chief marketing officer for Yum’s Dallas-based international division, where he will report to Graham Allan, the division’s president.

Pant, 54, has also served as Yum’s global chief concept officer and president of Taco Bell International for nearly four years. Before joining Yum in 2005, he served as Reebok International’s global chief marketing officer.

Yum currently has 36,000 quick-service restaurants located in more than 110 countries and territories around the world.
