Diageo North America named Peter McDonough president and chief marketing and innovation officer. NORWALK, Conn. -- Diageo North America, a giant spirits, beer and wine company, has appointed Peter McDonough president and chief marketing and innovation officer. As a part of the promotion, Diageo said it has combined its marketing and innovation teams. McDonough joined Diageo three years ago and most recently served as president of innovation for North America. He will report to Larry Schwartz, president of Diageo USA.

DEDHAM, Mass. -- Papa Gino's Inc., which includes Papa Gino's Pizzeria and D'Angelo Grilled Sandwiches, has chosen CashStar as its online gift card and incentives platform. CashStar's platform will enable customers of the brands, which together have 370 units, to buy gift cards from the restaurants' websites that are then sent to recipients via e-mail. CashStar is based in Portland, Maine.

NEW YORK -- The International Restaurant and Foodservice Show of New York said Jon Luther, executive chairman of Dunkin' Brands Inc., will deliver the show's keynote address. Luther will discuss how Dunkin' Donuts and Baskin-Robbins have been transformed over the past several years on March 1 at 1 p.m. The show, which is sponsored by the New York State Restaurant Association, will be held at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center here Feb. 28 through March 2.

MINNEAPOLIS -- Unified Supply Chain Inc., the wholly owned subsidiary of International Dairy Queen Inc., has presented its vendor, distributor and dairy of the year awards to three suppliers. Atlanta-based Coca-Cola North America was awarded Dairy Queen's Vendor of the Year, PDF Supply in St. Peters, Mo., was presented with Distributor of the Year Award, and Prairie Farms Dairy Inc. of Carlinville, Ill., was named Dairy of the Year.

ARLINGTON, Va. -- The USA Rice Federation said Sylvia Kravitz, product developer for San Diego Unified School District, is the grand-prize winner in the annual Healthy Rice Bowls Contest. Kravitz's rice bowls entry included sweet and sour shrimp, teriyaki chicken with Asian vegetables, beef with broccoli, and fajita chicken. The two runners-up were Mark Baida, executive chef for the Los Angeles Unified School District, and Rachel Kovich, foodservice director for University of Chicago Laboratory Schools.

DANVERS, Mass. -- Fishery Products International has added Steve Prusank and Ned Hawkins to its sales team. Prusank, who spent 20 years with Simplot in Boise, Idaho, joins FPI as senior director of foodservice sales. Hawkins, who has more than 20 years of seafood industry experience, was named CN, bid and military specialist.

BREA, Calif. -- Ventura Foods LLC has introduced its new website, www.venturafoods.com. The site's foodservice section offers cutting-edge menu information and a comprehensive product portfolio as well as ideas from the Trans Fat Free Kitchen and Healthy Innovations sections, both of which contain products and recipes.
