NASHVILLE, Tenn. Following an eight-week test in 26 restaurants, Shoney’s is adding flavored pancakes to its breakfast buffet at select units through September 30.
The new pancakes include blueberry, apple spice and buttermilk varieties. Patrons can also have pancakes flavored with strawberry, blueberry, apple cinnamon and caramel pecan toppings.
Promotional support for the flavored pancakes includes new television, radio and newspaper advertising, as well as placemats, posters and ceiling danglers.
Shoney’s owns, operates and franchises 282 midscale restaurants in 18 states.
