Sheppard follows Miksa into CEO role at Robeks

MANHATTAN BEACH Calif. John Sheppard has reportedly been named interim president and chief executive for smoothie chain Robeks Corp., succeeding Sheri Miksa, who resigned earlier this month after less than two years with the company. No reason was given for her departure.

Sheppard, who will lead the search for a permanent CEO, is a member of the Robeks board of directors and an operating partner at Emigrant Capital, a private-equity firm holding a significant stake in the chain. He previously served as president of Coca Cola’s European operations and was president and chief executive of soft-drink manufacturer Cott Corp.

Miksa came to the drink chain after serving as president and CEO of the Rubio’s Fresh Mexican Grill chain. A 25-year veteran of the restaurant industry, Miksa also has served as chief operating officer of Seattle’s Best Coffee, and earlier held posts at airline caterer LSG Sky Chefs and at Taco Bell.
