Ruth's Chris debuts $7 'Sizzle, Swizzle and Swirl Happy Hour'

Ruth’s Chris Steak House this week debuted its “Sizzle, Swizzle and Swirl Happy Hour” premium bar menu at select locations, featuring food and drink items for $7.

The menu includes such food items as a prime burger with fries, tenderloin skewers over spring greens, New England lobster roll with fries, three petite prime sliders, sliced filet steak sandwich with fries, seared ahi tuna and spicy lobster.

The “Sizzle” menu items can be ordered at the bar outside the happy hour but at regular pricing, the Winter Park, Fla.-based company said.

Helen Mackey, Ruth’s Chris’s director of beverage strategy, said in a statement that the intent was to turn “first-time guests into regulars.”

“With the incredible quality this happy hour delivers, all at the very accessible $7 price point, Ruth's Chris is the ideal, go-to Happy Hour destination,” Mackey said.

The drink portion of the menu features such cocktails as the Classic Cosmo, the Pomegranate Martini and Ruth's Manhattan, made with premium spirits and daily fresh-squeezed juices.

The “Sizzle, Swizzle and Swirl” is available at 38 of Ruth’s Chris’s more than 130 locations nationwide.

Happy hour times and days vary by region, with East Coast locations offering the promotion 4:30-7 p.m., Sunday through Friday; Midwest, Southwest and Southern California units offering them 4:30-6:30 p.m., Monday through Friday; and Northern California and Pacific Northwest restaurants scheduling them 4-7 p.m., Monday through Friday, a spokeswoman said. All food and drink items are $7 each in all participating locations.

Ruth’s Chris Steak House is a division of Ruth's Hospitality Group Inc., which also owns Mitchell's Fish Market, Mitchell's Steakhouse and Cameron's Steak house concepts.
