Reader: McDonald’s dedicated to serving fresh hamburgers

Editor, NRN: The letter to the editor, “Burgers precooked, frozen elsewhere are QSR ‘secret,’” April 30, may be true for some chains, but it couldn’t be further from the truth at McDonald’s.

There is absolutely no secret to the high quality of McDonald’s hamburgers. They are made with 100-percent USDA-inspected pure beef, cooked in our state-of-the-art kitchens and served to our customers just the way they want it—hot and fresh. They are never precooked. That includes the Angus Third Pounder. As a McDonald’s owner-operator for more than 27 years and a member of the team that helped launch these new sandwiches, I should know.

McDonald’s owner-operators, the company and our suppliers have one unwavering commitment: to serve our customers one quality meal at a time—and that’s just what we’re doing.
