Rathbun opens third restaurant in Atlanta area

ATLANTA Chef Kevin Rathbun, along with his wife, Melissa, and business partners Cliff Bramble and Kirk Parks, opened their third Atlanta-area restaurant, Kevin Rathbun Steak, on Wednesday night

The new venture - opened three years to the day since the group's Rathbun’s debuted - is only a block from Rathbun’s and Krog Bar.

Including its outside patio, Kevin Rathbun’s seats 250. Bramble said opening night drew roughly 220 patrons.

To counteract the rising price of beef, Rathbun introduced "Half Steaks," or two portion sizes of different cuts of beef. “This allows diners to select a larger or smaller portion of steak and pay the different price,” said Bramble.

The restaurant is opened in the Inman Park area of Atlanta. “It is close to downtown without being downtown,” Bramble said. “There are about 3,000 houses being built within three miles of us. The whole area is being revitalized.”

Asked if any other projects are in the works, Bramble acknowledged, “We are looking for opportunities on a daily basis.”
