Pink Taco taps new president and executive chef

LOS ANGELES Pink Taco LLC, based here, named Blake Rudman president of the contemporary Mexican casual-dining brand, which has units in Las Vegas and Scottsdale, Ariz. Rudman is former director of new concept development for Real Mex Restaurants and helped expand the El Torito Grill concept.

In addition, Nathan Slattery was named executive chef for the Pink Taco brand. Formerly executive chef for the Rosa Mexicano restaurants, based in New York, Slattery will oversee menu development. Slattery is a graduate of Le Cordon Bleu program at the Scottsdale Culinary Institute.

Pink Taco was co-founded by Harry Morton and his father Peter Morton, who was also co-creator of the Hard Rock Café chain. Harry Morton is Pink Taco's chief executive. The company is set to debut it latest Pink Taco unit in Los Angeles in June.
