P.F. Chang's celebrates 15 years with new menu items

SCOTTSDALE Ariz. P.F. Chang’s China Bistro is celebrating its 15th anniversary by featuring specialty cocktails and adding four dishes to its grill menu, which the 182-unit chain introduced earlier this year.

The chain's new drinks include the Chinese 88, which is named in honor of the Olympic Summer Games in Beijing, which begin on Friday. P.F. Chang's said the drink is an update of the French 75 cocktail, which is made with gin, champagne, lemon juice and sugar. The chain's other new drinks are the Organic Agave Margarita and the Plum Collins, which is made with Pearl plum vodka and plum wine.

The new grill items include:

-Chang's Sichuan Steak Flatbread, which updates the scallion pancake by stuffing it with grilled Sichuan marinated steak and melted cheese. It's served with a side of citrus-mustard slaw and a tangy dipping sauce.

-Chang’s Wedge with Grilled Steak salad, which is made with 6 ounces of sliced steak, cucumbers, daikon radishes, grape tomatoes, crumbled blue cheese and a creamy dressing

-Sesame Crusted Ahi Tuna, which is served with cold green-tea soba noodles

-Braised Short Ribs, which are served with pineapple fried rice

P.F. Chang's also added a Dynamite Shrimp dish to its appetizer lineup. The new item is made with battered shrimp tossed in a spicy sauce and served in a martini glass.
