Juice It Up! moves to Web-based POS

News

IRVINE Calif. Juice It Up!, the 150-plus-unit chain with headquarters here, is switching to Halo, Vivonet Inc.'s centrally hosted, Web-based subscription point-of-sale system.

"Implementation of Halo will begin immediately for all Juice It Up! locations; I'm looking forward to the positive effect Halo and the information it provides will have on our operations," said Chris Hoch, information technology manager for Juice It Up! Franchise Corp. "Halo was the perfect fit for our franchise model because it is an affordable option that meets the strategic needs of the head office and the operational needs of our franchise owners."

Representatives of Vivonet, with offices in Bellingham, Wash., said Juice It Up! now has a mix of POS and cash register systems that prohibits cost effective or convenient chainwide data collection. They said Halo's secure architecture will support Juice It Up! management and franchisees in making strategic decisions based on real-time information about different regions, menu items and store performance, while letting them view reports and change menu items from anywhere at any time using a Web browser.
