Jack in the Box franchisee to expand in Texas

SAN DIEGO In keeping with Jack in the Box Inc.’s plans to increase franchise ownership, veteran franchisee Michael Norwich Jr. has signed an agreement to expand his operations into the Midland/Odessa market in Texas with five new restaurants.

Norwich, who operates 10 Jack in the Box restaurants in El Paso, Texas, and another two in Las Cruces, N.M., is scheduled to open the first of the Midland/Odessa units early next year.

Jack in the Box, based here, operates or franchises more than 2,100 namesake restaurants in 17 states, as well as 370 Qdoba Mexican Grill restaurants and a 50-unit convenience store concept called Quick Stuff.
