Jack in the Box adds grilled cheese sandwich

SAN DIEGO Jack in the Box has added two choices to its Kid's Meal menu: a grilled cheese sandwich and milk served in 8-ounce "chug" jugs.

The grilled cheese sandwich features the chain's signature sourdough bread topped with two slices of American cheese. The new milk chugs, in 8-ounce plastic jugs, come in reduced-fat regular or low-fat chocolate. Both items are available now.

AKid's Meal with a grilled cheese sandwich; French fries or applesauce; a milk chug; and a toy is available for the suggested price of $2.59, the company said.

Jack in the Box operates or franchises more than 2,000 restaurants in 17 states. The company also operates a chain of convenience stores called Quick Stuff, with more than 50 locations, as well as more than 300 fast-casual Qdoba Mexican Grill units.
