GLENDALE Calif. IHOP has included 17 new items ranging from breakfast pancakes and crepes to salads and chicken dishes in a menu that was rolled out Wednesday.
The new dishes include three additions to the IHOP For Me section of the menu, which features dishes lower in fat, calories or carbohydrates, as well as healthier options for kids.
Among them are the Harvest Grain ‘N Nut Healthy Combo, which includes two Harvest Grain ‘N Nut pancakes with blueberries, topped with sliced bananas, and served with scrambled egg substitute; a Spinach, Mushroom and Tomato Omelette made with egg substitute and splashes of buttermilk and wheat pancake batter; and a grilled balsamic-glazed chicken breast topped with sautéed mushrooms, onions and diced tomatoes.
New breakfast items, available all day, include Butterscotch Rocks Pancakes, filled with pecans, granola and butterscotch chips, served with whipped topping and caramel sauce; a Bacon Temptation Omelette with six strips of bacon, cheese sauce and Jack and cheddar cheeses; a Hearty Ham and Cheese Omelette; Bone-In Ham Steak and Eggs, consisting of a 10-ounce ham steak served with hash browns and two buttermilk pancakes; and the Big Country Fried Steak and Eggs, which includes three buttermilk pancakes.
A Viva La French Toast Combo combines French toast with two eggs and a choice of bacon or sausage links. The new Nutella Crepes consist of egg-batter crepes filled with hazelnut spread and banana and topped with strawberry sauce and whipped topping.The Danish Fruit Crepes feature fruit compote and cream cheese, topped with strawberry sauce, warm blueberry or cinnamon-apple compote.
New savory items include fried Monster Mozza Sticks with marinara sauce; a Crispy Chicken Salad; a Chicken Spinach and Apple Salad; Mediterranean Lemon Chicken; a 12-ounce Big Country Fried Steak with vegetables; and a Tuscan Chicken Griller topped with melted Provolone cheese, roasted tomatoes, romaine lettuce and sun-dried tomato pesto on a grilled Romano-Parmesan bun.
