IHOP offers fiscal relief with pancake offer

GLENDALE Calif. IHOP Corp. on Monday launched an all-you-can-eat pancake offer dubbed the 2009 Hungry Consumer Relief Plan that is designed to have “minimum economic impact” on customers, according to the family-dining chain. The promotion will run through Feb. 22.

The offer is available all day at participating locations within the 1,375-unit chain. Recommended prices start at $4.99 for the a la carte pancake offer, or $5.99 as part of a combination meal, which might include eggs, hash browns, and a choice of sausage, bacon or ham.

“Our guests know they can count on IHOP to always deliver a good value and delicious golden pancakes,” said Carolyn O’Keefe, IHOP’s senior vice president of marketing. “We believe that unlimited buttermilk pancakes and cups of fresh coffee can help provide the ‘stimulus’ our economy needs in the New Year.”

IHOP is a subsidiary of Glendale-based DineEquity Inc.
