Pork was part of more than 4,100 entrées at the top 500 chains monitored by Technomic in 2010, an increase of 3.3 percent since 2008.

Pizza saw the largest increase among major categories, of 8.9 percent.

Although it appears that pork saw a big jump in vegetable entrées, up 50 percent from six to nine between 2008 and 2010, most of those entrées are baked potatoes.

Cracker Barrel Old Country Store does offer entrée portions of pinto beans and turnip greens, both cooked with country ham.
