Firehouse Subs debuts new sandwich

Sandwich is the chain's first new menu item in nearly two years

Firehouse Subs has begun the rollout of its Turkey Bacon Ranch sub, the chain’s first new menu item since it introduced the Smokehouse Beef & Cheddar Brisket sub in the first quarter of 2009.

The Turkey Bacon Ranch sub is made with smoked turkey breast, bacon, sharp cheddar cheese and peppercorn ranch dressing.

Firehouse Subs, which rarely adds new items to its menu, expects the sandwich to be available at all 398 of its restaurants by late December.

It expects the sandwich’s price to range between $5.39 and $5.99.

Prior to launching the Smokehouse Beef & Cheddar Brisket sub, the chain had not added a new menu item in 10 years.

Firehouse Subs was founded in Jacksonville, Fla., by former firefighting brothers Robin and Chris Sorensen.
