Domino's to offer $4 pizza value meal

ANN ARBOR Mich. Domino’s Pizza is the latest chain to use recession worries as a marketing ploy with a new value meal called the 444 Deal.

Set to launch Monday, Domino's 444 Deal offers three 10-inch, one-topping pizzas for $4 each.

“We know from third-party research that when people are concerned about the economy, they tend to skip meals — particularly lunch — to save a few bucks. With the 444 Deal, you and a couple of friends can order your choice of pizza at a great value and still have leftovers,” said Patrick Doyle, president of Domino’s USA, based here.

Domino's said it expects to have the deal available at all 1,500 domestic units by April 14.

Other chains that are marketing new value deals include Pizza Hut with its Pizza Mia pies for $5 each when buying three or more, Wienerschnitzel’s 5 for $5 promotion of five original chili dogs, and Subway’s $5 for a foot-long sub.
