MIAMI Renowned chef Daniel Boulud is set to open a second unit of his DB Bistro concept in Metropolitan Miami's Met 2 tower in 2009. Boulud partnered with MDM Development Group to secure the project.
"Metropolitan Miami is the perfect venue to launch a new DB Bistro," says Boulud. "I chose Miami for its sunny urban energy, which I love, and I chose Metropolitan Miami for its mix of business, residential and entertainment elements."
Boulud's first DB Bistro, which features modern French-American cuisine in an upscale casual setting, is in New York City.
Boulud currently operates the New York restaurants Daniel, Cafe Boulud and DB Bistro. In addition, he opened Cafe Boulud in Palm Beach, Fla., and Daniel Boulud Brasserie at the Wynn Las Vegas Resort.
This fall Boulud will open Bar Boulud in New York, which will serve as casual bistro and wine bar. In January 2008, he will debut Maison Boulud in Beijing. It will be a French fine-dining venue.
