Dairy Queen names preferred drive-thru technology

News

EDINA Minn. International Dairy Queen has named HyperActive Technologies Inc. a national account vendor for drive-thru technologies and named its QTimer Drive-Thru Measurement Solution a preferred system, according to the supplier.

Ryan Baune, director of retail technology for the 5,600-unit sandwich-and-treat chain based here, said QTimer is “a state-of-the-art drive-thru solution that provides actionable information in real-time, plus above-store capabilities that streamline maintenance and reporting.” He added, “These capabilities will not only save time as new restaurants are set up and configured, but the information QTimer provides will enable us to analyze the results of specific promotions and other operational efforts as they affect our drive-thru operations.”

Sources at Pittsburgh-based HyperActive Technologies said QTimer provides web-based reporting and transaction-level details that, among other things, help operators understand which stations or products are causing slowdowns. The “Enterprise Reporting Portal” measures drive-thru times in individual restaurants and aggregates information across user-definable groups, up to and including results for the entire chain, and it issues reports and feeds in a variety of formats, they said.
