CMO of Popeyes parent resigns

ATLANTA Robert Calderin has resigned as chief marketing officer of AFC Enterprises Inc., parent of the Popeyes Chicken & Biscuits chain, to pursue another business opportunity, the company said.

Calderin, who joined Popeyes in 2005, is expected to remain with the company through early November to aid in the transition to new leadership, but no decision has been made on who will replace him, a spokeswoman said.

Popeyes, based here, has nearly 2,000 domestic and foreign units.
