Checkers, Rally's get new ad agency

TAMPA Fla. Checkers Drive-In Restaurants Inc. has awarded strategic and creative ad duties for its Checkers and Rally’s brands to New York-based ML Rogers.

The first work from the agency, which replaces Amalgamated of New York, will be a new TV campaign scheduled to break this fall. Agency consultant Select Resources International assisted in the creative review, which Checkers chief marketing officer Terri Snyder called an “extremely robust agency review process.”

“We believe ML Rogers will deliver a distinctive, compelling and strategically targeted campaign that resonates with our customer base, and we look forward to partnering with them as we take our advertising in a new direction,” Snyder said in a statement.

Checkers, based here, operates or franchises more than 800 Checkers and Rally’s Hamburgers twin-lane drive-thrus.
