BK site helps visitors get ‘Simpsonized’

MIAMI Burger King Corp. has tied in to the July 27 release of “The Simpsons Movie” with the launch of www.simpsonizeme.com, a website that helps visitors remake themselves into a “Simpsons” character.

After uploading a photo, visitors can customize their looks with different hairstyles, body types, outfits and accessories that turn them into a “celebrity guest star” with the signature yellow face of a Simpsons character.

The site includes an online store, where visitors can put their photos on T-shirts, mugs, hats and aprons. They also can make screensavers and wallpaper designs featuring their new look.

In addition, Burger King will sponsor a traveling “Simpsonizer” through August and include Simpsons figurines in Kids Meals.

The tie-in is being supported with TV spots and in-store material.
