Anthony's gets new Dinerware

News

BELLEVUE Wash. Seafood dinnerhouse operator Anthony's Restaurants based here has rolled out Dinerware's touchscreen point-of-sale system in 18 of the company's 23 restaurants with plans to add the technology to two more next month.

Ballard, Wash.-based Dinerware's software is a native TCP/IP network application based on Microsoft Corp.'s .NET platform that works solely in conjunction with Microsoft's SQL Server database. Referring to the software's ease of use and architecture, which eliminates the need for databases at each workstation among other characteristics, Anthony's chief financial officer Ray Caldwell said, "By switching over to Dinerware, we anticipate saving over $150,000 dollars a year in system support costs alone."

Dinerware representatives said the company's software is installed in more than 1,000 independent restaurants and outlets owned by small multiunit operations, such as Anthony's Restaurants, which is owned by Mad Anthony's Inc.
