Cracker Barrel ekes out a comp gain for Feb.

LEBANON Tenn. CBRL Group Inc. said Tuesday that same-store restaurant sales at its Cracker Barrel Old Country Store family-dining chain increased 0.9 percent for the four weeks ended Feb. 29, versus the same period a year ago.

Much like the prevailing trend across most of the industry, the same-store sales gain was driven by menu price increases instead of growth in guest traffic. CBRL reported that average checks rose about 3.1 percent for the February period,
